Scary Fun Trailer for SCURRY Unleashes Alien Monsters in a One-Take Underground Nightmare

Signature Entertainment has released the official trailer for Luke Sparke’s terrifying new horror thriller Scurry, and it looks like an intense, claustrophobic ride packed with alien monsters and survival horror thrills.

It’s a wild approach that cranks up the tension and immerses viewers right in the middle of the chaos. The story follows two strangers, played by Jamie Costa and Emalia, who are trapped underground after a devastating attack reduces their city to rubble.

Injured, disoriented, and desperate to escape, they soon realize their dwindling chances of survival aren’t just threatened by collapsing tunnels. Something much worse lurks in the darkness, something relentless and hungry.

The official synopsis teases: “When an unthinkable attack devastates a city, two strangers find themselves trapped beneath the chaos, wounded & disoriented. As they fight to survive in a narrowing underground tunnel, their injuries worsen, and their chances of escape dwindle.

“But the collapsing passageways aren’t their only threat—something else is lurking in the darkness, something relentless & hungry. Shot in real-time using a single continuous take, Scurry delivers a gripping, claustrophobic horror experience that will keep audiences on edge until the very last moment.”

The director explained his vision for the fil: "From the moment I first envisioned Scurry, I knew I wanted to create an experience that would keep audiences on the edge of their seats—something fast, relentless, and deeply immersive.

“Creature features have always held a special place in cinema, blending tension, survival, and awe-inspiring spectacle. With Scurry, I wanted to bring a fresh, visceral energy to the genre while staying true to what makes these films so thrilling: the fear of the unknown, the power of nature, and the resilience of the human spirit."

With its one-take structure, creeping tension, and terrifying underground monsters, Scurry looks like a fun creature. Some fans have already compared it to a “low-budget Tremors” but with scarier, nastier creatures.

Scurry was written by Tom Evans and produced by Carmel Imrie and Carly Sparke. It made its world premiere at the 2024 Sydney Science Fiction Film Festival, and now it’s finally crawling its way to wider audiences.

The film premiered last year in Australia and is now gearing up for its international release, The movie was already released in the UK, with a U.S. release likely to follow.
