Tessa Thompson to Star in Sam Boyd's A24 Suburban Thriller Series NEXT DOOR at Netflix

Netflix has picked up the rights to the suburban thriller series Next Door, a show from Love Life creator Sam Boyd and A24, with Tessa Thompson (Creed, Thor: Ragnarok, His & Hers) attached to star and produce. The project has been put on fast-track development with a writers’ room currently being staffed.

Plot details are under wraps, but Deadline reports that they’ve heard Next Door is a dark comedic thriller about marriage and paranoia in the modern American suburbs, inspired by movies in the vein of Little Children and Rear Window.

Boyd is writer, director, showrunner and executive producer for Next Door. Thompson will executive produce with Kishori Rajan under their banner, Viva Maude, alongside Hipps of Cut To.
