Thanos Punches Through Captain America's Shield in Early Concept Art for AVENGERS: ENDGAME
We’ve seen Thanos and Captain America face off a couple of time in the final two Avengers movies, but it was in Avengers: Endgame where their best fight took place. It was a pretty brutal battle battle that left Cap’s shield broken.
This fight between the hero and villain could have been a lot crazier and in some early concept art for the film, Thanos would have shattered Cap’s shield!
Ryan Meinerding, Marvel Studios’ Head of Visual Development, shared a few pieces of art on social media showing us what could have been as Thanos destroys Captain America’s shield with his bare hands! I especially love the shot where he punches right through it with the shield with the star landing on Cap’s chest.
