That Time Mister Rogers Visited Lou Ferrigno on the Set of THE INCREDIBLE HULK Series
In 1980, an episode of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood aired in which the lovable host visited the set of The Incredible Hulk series on the Universal Studios lot. While there, Mister Rogers and his cameraman Mr. McFeely spoke with series stars Lou Ferrigno and Bill Bixby about how the scary things that kids see on TV are just pretend.
Ferrigno invited them to see how the makeup and prosthetics were put on to transform him into the Hulk and then shared how he changed back into himself when the makeup was removed.
Mister Rogers and Mr. McFeely visit the set of “The Incredible Hulk” television program, starring Bill Bixby. They talk with the actors about how some things on television may look real but are not.
