That Time Carl Sagan Debunked Flat Earthers Using a Simple Piece of Cardboard on COSMOS

There are surprisingly a lot of people that still believe the world is flat for some reason. Regardless of all the proof that we have that it’s not, these Flat Earthers stubbornly hold on to their belief. I know someone who believes the Earth is flat and no matter how many ways it’s been explained to me, I just don’t understand their thought process.

Anyway, a short video segment of Carl Sagan’s Cosmos show has recently resurfaced that dives into Eratosthenes (276 BC – 194 BC), a Greek mathematician, geographer, poet, and astronomer, who discovered that the Earth was round using simple observations.

Sagan then goes to prove that Flat Earthers are wrong proves the world is round with a simple piece of cardboard.
