That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is based on the light novel series written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. The series follows Mikami Satoru, an average 37 year old who dies and is reincarnated as a slime. While he starts out as weak as possible, he is able to combine his two special abilities “Predator” and “Great Sage” to gain both friends and foes alike as the newly renamed Rimuru Tempest. You can currently stream the series on Crunchyroll to get caught up before the movie releases.
