The 2019 Release Date For ZOMBIELAND 2 has Been Revealed
Earlier this week it was confirmed that Zombieland 2 was actually greenlit and that the original cast will all be returning to reprise their roles. We've now learned that they will begin production in January 2019, and it will arrive in theaters on October 11th, 2019! The first film was released on October 2nd, 2009, which will make the sequel a true 10-year anniversary release.
Emma Stone, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg and Abigail Breslin will all be back. As will director Ruben Fleischer and writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese. Here are the details on the story that have been revealed:
The new movie will once again put the focus on comic mayhem, taking the quartet from the White House to the American heartland as they face off against new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But, most of all, according to the studio, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.
It's so cool that after all these years Zombieland is actually getting a sequel. I hope that they deliver a great film that was worth the wait.
