The A CHRISTMAS STORY Sequel Will Bring Back Four More Original Cast Members

We got a fun casting update for the upcoming A Christmas Story sequel. Peter Billingsley, who is reprising his role as Ralphie, will be joined by four other original cast members from the 1983 film!

Ian Petrella will be back as Randy, Zack Ward is coming back as Scut Farkus, Scott Schwartz will return and play Flick, and R.D. Robb is back as Schwartz. This is awesome!

This marks Petrella’s first film since playing Randy in the original movie. Ward recently starred in Survive the Game for Lionsgate, and other credits include Freddy Vs. Jason, Transformers and Resident Evil: Apocalypse and recurring on Fox’s Titus. Schwartz has appeared in Kidco and co-stars in The Toy and A Time to Live. Robb has a recurring role on ABC’s The Goldbergs.

The sequel follows an adult Ralphie in the 1970s “as he returns to the house on Cleveland Street to deliver his kids a magical Christmas like the one he had growing up. With the same attention-to-real-life tone of the first, Ralphie reconnects with childhood friends, reconciles the passing of his Old Man and sows the seeds for the origins of the beloved holiday classic.”

The script was written by Nick Schenk, who also will executive produce, with Clay Kaytis on board to direct. Billingsley and Vince Vaughn will produce.
