THE ACOLYTE Merch Has Been Removed From the Disney Store; Will Disney Remove It From Streaming Next?
Not long after it was announced that Disney canceled Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Acolyte, fans noticed that Disney has also removed all of the merch from the series from Disney’s online store.
If you check the product page right now, it’s empty. The other Star Wars items from different lines and series, including those out of stock, are still available to purchase.
The big question this raises is will Disney remove The Acolyte from Disney+ next? Remember, they did the same thing with Willow after it ran through its first season and was canceled. They’ve completly erased it from existence.
Now, there’s no indication that The Acolyte will be scrubbed from the streaming service, but fans on Reddit are expressing their concerns and the possibility that it might become "lost media".
We’ll just have to wait and see how this plays out, but with Star Wars being such a big franchise, I’d be surprised if they actually pulled it from Disney+. But who knows, Disney might want to take that tax write-off regardless.
As of right now, no members of the cast or crew from The Acolyte addressed the show’s cancelation, but the fan base had previously been campaigning to continue the series with #RenewTheAcolyte, but that fell on deaf ears.
The next Star Wars show set to be released is Skeleton Crew starring Jude Law, and that series drops on Disney+ in December. One top pf that, Ahsoka Season 2 is in the works and The Mandalorian & Grogu will be the next Star Wars movie released on May 22, 2026.
