THE ACOLYTE Season Final Foreshadows Anakin Skywalker Again

The season final of Star Wars: The Acolyte has once again foreshadowed the coming of The Chosen One, aka Anakin Skywalker.

This is the second reference the show has made. The first came in episode 7 when Mother Aniseya warns Sol, saying: "Someday, those noble intentions you all have will destroy every Jedi in the galaxy.”

In this final episode, the warning comes from Senator Rayencourt when she confronts Vernestra about the Jedi Order claiming to control their emotions.

Rayencourt says to her: "You project an image of goodness and restraint, but it's only a matter of time until one of you snaps. And when – not if – that happens, who will be strong enough to stop him?"

That is pretty much what we see happen to Anakin, who wasn’t very good and managing his emotions in the Jedi tradition. He snapped in a big way and jumped head first into the dark side leading him to become Darth Vader.

No matter how hard Obi-Wan Kenobi tried to keep Anakin in line, nothing worked and once he was overtaken by the Dark Side of the Force, nothing could stop him until his son, Luke Skywalker, came into the picture and through a series of events helped Vader redeem himself.
