The Alligator Thriller CRAWL Is Getting a Sequel

Paramount Pictures is developing a sequel to its 2019 alligator horror thriller Crawl and the film is being written by Andrew Deutschman and Jason Pagan (Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, Project Almanac).

The director of the first movie, Alexandre Aja, will return to helm the sequel and produce it alongside Craig Flores and Sam Raimi, all of whom produced the original.

Crawl 2 will include a new cast and it will be set in a new location, in this case, “the more urban dangers of New York City.”

I thought the first movie was a fun and intense thriller. Kaya Scodelario and Barry Pepper starred in the film as a daughter and father who find themselves trapped in a Florida home and hunted by some gators during a Category 5 hurricane.

The studio is deep in development, and they are looking to shoot the film in Europe.
