THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE Holiday Trailer Introduces The Adorable Hatchlings

My kids are freakin’ flipping out over this Angry Birds movie. Judging from what I’ve seen so far, it looks like it could be a fun movie. At least I hope it is, because I’ll be forced to watch it! We’ve got a holiday trailer to share with you today that introduced audiences to some cute baby characters who are called the Hatchlings. In the trailer they attempt to sing “Deck the Halls” to help get us all in the Christmas spirit. It's adorable as hell. Check out the video below!

The Angry Birds Movie has a great voice cast that includes Jason Sudeikis as Red, a bird with a temper, with Josh Gad as the speedy Chuck, and Danny McBride voicing the volatile Bomb. The movie also features the voices of Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage, Keegan-Michael Key, Tony Hale, Ike Barinholtz, Hannibal Buress, and Jillian Bell.

The movie takes us to an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – or almost entirely. In this paradise, Red (Jason Sudeikis, We're the Millers, Horrible Bosses), a bird with a temper problem, speedy Chuck (Josh Gad in his first animated role since Frozen), and the volatile Bomb (Danny McBride, This is the End, Eastbound and Down) have always been outsiders. But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.

The film will give fans the reason why the birds are so angry at the little green pigs. It crashes into theaters on May 20th, 2016.
