The ANIMANIACS Reboot Series Gets a Promo Teaser on the Show's 27th Anniversary
Hulu has released the first promo teaser for Warner Bros. Animation’s upcoming Animaniacs reboot series! The trailer was released in celebration of the show’s 27th anniversary. It’s crazy to think that Animaniacs premiered that long ago! That’s one of those things that definitely makes me feel old.
The original voice cast have come back to reprise their roles in the series. That cast includes Rob Paulsen as Yakko; Tress MacNeille as Dot; and Jess Harnell as Wakko. The reboot will see the “three inseparable, irascible siblings who have a great time wreaking havoc and mayhem in the lives of everyone they meet. They have been locked away in the Warner Bros. water tower for a very long time, but they have found a way to escape. And escape they do — every day! Causing chaos and comic confusion, Yakko, Wakko and Dot run loose in the city, turning the world into their personal playground.” Joining the trio will be fan-favorites Pinky and the Brain, who will also return to continue their quest for world domination.
The new promo mostly features old footage from the show along with behind-the-scenes footage of the voice cast getting back together to record their voices for the reboot. It’s pretty cool to see!
Steven Spielberg has returned to executive produce the series, alongside Sam Register, president of Warner Bros. Animation and Blue Ribbon Content. Amblin Television is producing the reboot in association with Warner Bros. Animation.
Season 1 will consist of 13-episodes and will premiere on November 29th, 2020. There’s also a second season in development consisting of 13 more episodes that will come to Hulu sometime in 2021.
