THE BATMAN Director Matt Reeves is Planning Multiple Batman Rogues Gallery Films

The Batman director is already in the process of developing a sequel to his first film, a Penguin spinoff series, and a show set in Arkham Asylum. If you think that is already a full plate of Batman projects wait until you get a load of what else he’s planning!

According to THR, Reeves is also quietly looking to expand the franchise is some big way. It’s explained that the filmmaker “is meeting with writers and directors to build out movies — yes movies, not just series — focused on Batman rogue’s gallery, both established and more obscure, with characters ranging from the Scarecrow to Clayface to Professor Pyg. All those projects are in the very early stages of gestation.”

There are no other details to share, but that certainly sounds exciting! There are so many great characters within the Batman corner of the DC universe to play with and while these film projects are still way far off, I’m looking forward to seeing what Reeves ends up doing with all of these Batman-themed films.

What Rogues Gallery characters would you like to see get their own movies!?
