THE BATMAN Pushed Back To 2022, THE MATRIX 4 Moves Up, and Other DC Movie Release Date Changes
Warner Bros. has offered up some more release date changes for some of their big-budget tent-pole films. The latest changes involve The Batman, The Matrix 4, The Flash, Shazam 2, Black Adam, and Minecraft.
The Batman is moving from October 1st, 2021 to March 4th, 2022.
The Flash is being pushed from June 3rd, 2022 to November 4th, 2022.
Shazam 2 was pushed back from November 4th, 2022 to June 2nd, 2023.
The release dates of Black Adam and Minecraft now currently don’t have release dates.
However, The Matrix 4 was actually moved up from April 1st, 2022 to December 22nd, 2021.
I guess we can thank the release date shuffle for Dune for The Batman change. Dune was moved into the October 1st, 2021 date, so The Batman bailed.
The studio also plans to release two yet-to-be-announced films on June 3rd, 2022 and August 5th, 2022.
As of right now, Wonder Woman 1984 is still set to be released on December 25, 2020.
I imagine this won’t be the last time that a bunch of movie release dates gets shuffled. I hate reporting this news. I just want to enjoy going to the movies again!
