The BATMAN V SUPERMAN ULTIMATE EDITION Is Getting a Limited Theatrical Release
The ultimate edition of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is officially heading back to theaters as a limited theatrical release in the U.S. The cut of this film includes a ton of new footage that pushes the running time to 151 minutes. I’m actually curious about seeing this, as I hope that the extended cut flows a little better than the original cut.
Warner Brothers released the following statement on their DC All-Access app about the release:
"As a thank you to all of the fans, Zack [Snyder] and the filmmakers would like to invite you to a special theatrical screening of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition. This one night only experience will be on Monday, June 27th in select cities. Reserve your seats now as space is limited."
Tickets can be purchased online right now at the WB Tickets website. You can also see the list of the cities and theaters that the film will be playing in at the site as well. I’ve also included a new trailer for the Ultimate Edition of the film which features more new unseen footage.
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition will be available on blu-ray and DVD on July 19th.
