The Batmobile From Matt Reeves' THE BATMAN Is on Display and It's Our Best Look Yet

We’ve seen some great shot of the Batmobile from Matt Reeves’ The Batman in action in the trailers for the film. I’m a fan of this new vehicle design, and thanks to some new photos that have surfaced, we have an even better look at the Batmobile!

These new photo were taken at the WB Abu Dhabi hotel, where the car is currently on display. It offers a look at some up close angles of the car, and well… I want one. Yeah, I’m sure the gas milage is shit, but that’s ok, I don’t mind!

When previously talking about the development of the Batmobile design, Reeves said:

"One of the things you have to do is you have to design a bat suit, you have to design a Batmobile you have to have a Batcave you have to have that like all of the things that he's going to have. And so, you know, for me that's been one of the exciting things and that happened even before we were quite done with the last iteration of the script you know we don't, we've already gone through passes and it was quite clear what the vision of the world was being while I'm writing.

"I'd say we spent easily, a year to do the bat suit and then to get into the Batmobile and that of course, that part's a dream, I mean you know you start the idea of getting to do your own version of the Batmobile is like you just kind of like that. That's the incredible candy, right? Like the telling of the story is the hard work and trying to make sure that you're doing the right thing, and then when you get to dive into the idea of this car that again feels connected to this version of the character a grounded version of the character, this is something that he built and to try and look at those kinds of rough seams and imagine how that works. It's a, it's been incredible sort of gift to be able to do that."

The Batman is an edgy, action-packed thriller that depicts Batman in his early years, struggling to balance rage with righteousness as he investigates a disturbing mystery that has terrorized Gotham. Robert Pattinson delivers a raw, intense portrayal of Batman as a disillusioned, desperate vigilante awakened by the realization that the anger consuming him makes him no better than the ruthless serial killer he's hunting.

Robert Pattinson is going to kill it as Batman, and the movie also stars Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Alfred, Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/The Riddler, Jayme Lawson as Bella Reál, John Turturro as Carmine Falcone, and Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson. Gil Perez-Abraham (Orange is the New Black), Charlie Carver (Teen Wolf), and Max Carver have also been cast in undisclosed roles.

The Batman is now scheduled to hit theaters on March 4th, 2022.
