The BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Reboot Film Moves Forward with a New Screenwriter

For some reason, someone wants to reboot Battlestar Galactica again. Don’t get me wrong, both shows are great. However, do we need another reboot? Especially since this one will be a film.

According to The Wrap, the Universal Pictures has hired Jay Basu (The Girl in the Spider’s Web) to rewrite the script for the film reboot. This is the latest news from the film which has gone through several writers and directors before the current pair of Basu and director Francis Lawrence (Red Sparrow, The Hunger Games).

The report also says that this film will adapt the original concept from Glen Larson. So, how are they going to properly turn a series into a 2-hour movie?
