The Best and Saddest Detail in STRANGER THINGS Season 2

Stranger Things 2 has so many crazy little details, it’s hard to keep track of them all. That being said, David Harbour who plays Jim Hopper pointed fans in the direction of one very subtle important detail in season 2.

Harbour was being asked about the blue bracelet his character was wearing, and he responded with the following tweet:

The link in the tweet will take you to fans solving the mystery. Basically, the blue bracelet was Hopper’s daughter’s (Sarah) hair tie. You can see him wearing it in flashbacks when he’s reading to his daughter who is receiving treatment as well as in Sarah’s hair in earlier flashbacks. This is sweet and breaks your heart a little, but there’s more to it.

During Stranger Things 2, we see Hopper trying to be a father figure to Eleven. I can only imagine the feelings he has during this time with another chance to raise a daughter. He tries really hard to be a good father to this kid that isn’t even his. Needless to say they both do a lot of growing throughout the season with both of them learning the proper dynamics. The last episode ends with everyone at the Snow Ball dancing and having a good time (well, everyone except Mike), when Eleven shows up and cheers him up. We learn Hopper brought her (as any good dad would) and one viewer noticed that while Eleven and Mike were dancing, she is wearing a blue bracelet. This to me just really pushes me over the edge into tears of sadness and joy at the same time. I'm not crying, you're crying! What little details did you notice?
