THE BOYS Gets a 90s Style Sitcom Opening
Amazon Prime Video has released a new video for its hit series The Boys and it reimagines the intro as an early 90s sitcom, and it comes complete with that silly upbeat sitcom music. The video includes repurposed footage from the show as it introduces its popular characters. Check it out!
The Boys delivers an irreverent take on what happens when superheroes, who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods, abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about the supergroup known as “The Seven.” The show retains most of the comics’ boundary-pushing violence and sexuality while exploring the dark side of superhero celebrity and fame.
The series stars Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, and Karl Urban, along with Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Nathan Mitchell, Claudia Doumit, and Colby Minifie.
Season 3 included Jensen Ackles as the infamous Soldier Boy, Katia Winter as Little Nina, Miles Gaston Villaneuva as Supersonic, Sean Patrick Flanery as Gunpowder, Nick Wechsler as Blue Hawk, and Laurie Holden as Crimson Countess.
The series is based on the comic book series created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, and it was created by Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen, and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke.
