THE BOYS Season 3 Red-Band Trailer Was Flagged for Content Over 20 Million Times
Last week an insane red-band trailer for The Boys was and since its release, it has been flagged for content on YouTube over 20 million times! 20,093,031 time to be exact. The creative team behind the series is wearing that as a badge of hono,r and they are now using it in their marketing for the series! Here’s a little graphic that they shared on Twitter:
There are no specifics on what those content warnings could have been for. But if you’ve watched the trailer, take your pick! That thing is packed to the brim with stuff that is sure to hit a nerve with some people. It’s filled with lots of blood, guts, vulgarity, and a lot of other things that people might find offensive. The fact that it was flagged for content over 20 million times is pretty hilarious.
The Boys is “a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes — who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods — abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Intent on stopping the corrupt superheroes, The Boys, a group of vigilantes, continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought — the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets. It’s the seemingly powerless against the super powerful.”
The series stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and series newcomers Jensen Ackles, Nick Wechsler, and Laurie Holden.
Based on the best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the raunchy superhero drama is executive produced by Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Craig Rosenberg, Ken F. Levin, Jason Netter, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Meredith Glynn and Michaela Starr.
The Boys Season 3 is set to be released on Amazon on June 3rd. Enjoy the Red-Band trailer again and feel free to flag it for anything you find offensive!
