THE BOYS Season 5 BTS Photos Reveal Bloody First Look at Karl Urban's Billy Butcher and More
A couple of behind-the-scenes photos have been shared for the fan-favorite superhero satire series The Boys Season 5.
The Boys star Karl Urban released a photo as the series starts production on the new season and it features his character Billy Butcher, with a bit of blood splatter dripping down his face. It came with the caption: “Let’s Go!”
Series creator Eric Kripke also shared a photo form the set with Antony Starr’s Homelander, Chace Crawford’s The Deep, and Nathan Mitchell’s Black Noir II reuniting.
That image came with the caption: “They saved me. They saved me in every way a man can be saved. Feast your eyes on the first #Season5 #BTS pic! (Photo credit to @itsNateMitchell)”
The fifth season will be the final season of the series, and when talking about that, creator and showrunner, Eric Kripke teased:
"You know, I think the finale of season four really shows you that we've been planning five years all along, because there's no way a show goes one more season after the events of that finale. As far as we're concerned, it's our show's version of the apocalypse."
The series is described as follows: “The world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power.
“Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca's son as well as his job as The Boys' leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it's too late.”
