THE BOYS Series Creator Teases "Apocalyptic" Final Season

The Boys creator and showrunner, Eric Kripke teases the upcoming fifth and final season of the series, saying it will include "the show's version of the apocalypse."

After the insane Season 4 finale, Kripke talked about what that ending means for the characters and also teased what to expect from the next season.

Kripke said: "You know, I think the finale of season four really shows you that we've been planning five years all along, because there's no way a show goes one more season after the events of that finale. As far as we're concerned, it's our show's version of the apocalypse."

If you haven’t watched The Boys Season 4 finale yet, you might want to skip this next part because I get into some spoilers.

The events that Kripke is talking about involve Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) taking V and using the tentacles it gave him, to rip Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) in half. This came after she'd vowed to help Hughie (Jack Quaid) to take down Homelander (Antony Starr).

On top of that, after using footage acquired from the shape-shifting Supe in the underground bunker, Sage (Susan Heyward) was able to have presidential candidate Robert Singer arrested for conspiring with The Boys to murder Neuman, causing Senator Calhoun to be sworn in.

Calhoun, who had already aligned himself with Homelander then declared martial law and deputized Homelander and his army of Supes.

Season 5 is going to get absolutely bonkers!
