The BREAKING BAD Movie Will Reportedly Be a Sequel and Follow Aaron Paul's Jesse Pinkman

Last night we learned that Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan was developing a Breaking Bad film for AMC. Today we have some new details to share with you thanks to /Film, who got the scoop on what the film will entail.

According to the report, the Breaking Bad movie will be a sequel to the series that is set after the events of the series finale. Remember when Jesse rides off into the night crying a laughing manically at the end of the series? Well, Jesse’s story will continue with this movie.

It was already revealed that the movie would follow “the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.” Turns out that that Kidnapped man will be Jesse and the story “will follow his escape from Albuquerque following the bloody events of the series finale.”

I know we really don’t need another Breaking Bad story because the series ended perfectly. But, the fact that Gilligan is the one bringing us the story gives me hope that it will be an intriguing continuations of Jesse’s journey. After all, his story was left wide open for a continuation.

I’m actually a little more excited about the movie now that we know Jesse will be at the center of the the story. It will be interesting to see where the film finds Jesse when it picks up, but it doesn’t look like things will be going well for him.

I do like that Gilligan is going to actually give this character some closure. What do you think?
