The Cast of FATHER OF THE BRIDE Reuniting for a Netflix Special This Friday

Father of the Bride (1991) is one of my all-time favorite movies. It’s a classic comedy with a sweet story that remains relevant and timely through the years.

Steve Martin and Diane Keaton star as the parents to a young woman who comes home from studying abroad, revealing that she found the love of her life and is engaged. The family then plans a huge wedding with a reception at their home, and Martin’s character starts to spiral at the amount of money they are spending, and the fact that his daughter has grown up. It’s hilarious and touching, and has a great sequel that released in 1995, but we haven’t seen the Banks family since then… until now.

This Friday, the cast of Father of the Bride is reuniting for a Facebook special to benefit World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit organization founded by chef José Andrés devoted to providing meals in the wake of natural disasters.

I’m assuming we will see the core cast return, including Martin and Keaton, as well as Kimberly Williams-Paisley, who played daughter Annie, as well as Kieran Culkin, who played her little brother, George Newbern, the groom, and hopefully Martin Short and BD Wong, who played the hilarious wedding planners.

Check out the teaser released for the event below, and tune in to Netflix’s YouTube channel or their Facebook page on Friday, September 25th at 6:00pm to watch!
