The Cast of THE LEGO MOVIE 2: THE SECOND PART Talk About Negativity on Social Media in New Interview
Social media has some pros and cons, just like everything else in this world. Unfortunately, with how enveloped people become by it, it can lead to a lot of negativity in this world. This led to Chris Pratt creating his own set of “Social Media Commandments” to help himself not get dragged around in the negativity. He shared these in a recent interview with Fox TV alongside his co-star Elizabeth Banks as they were promoting The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part. Here’s a rundown of what they are:
“Give it no power.”
“It’s okay to be yourself and post anything you want.”
“Understand the difference between there, their, and they’re.” (This extends to other words like its vs it’s)
“Make no grand proclamations.”
“You’re not on the Senate floor. It’s Facebook, you’re not changing anything and no one cares.”
“Don’t read comments.”

I think this is sage advice that everyone can take into account. When Banks was asked about how she deals with the hate, here was her response:
“It’s just not interesting to me to spend my time wondering if people are writing or saying mean things about me. I think there’s enough crappy things going on in the world that I would like to put my attention to. Anything that’s personal, that’s never about me, that’s about you. I think that’s a good lesson to take away. I’m not mad at anybody so you wanna spend your time being mad at me, that’s a waste of your energy!”
Banks and Pratt weren’t the only ones asked about this though as Kevin McCarthy asked similar questions of Will Arnett and Tiffany Haddish.
