The Cast of WEDNESDAY Address Fan Theories For Season 2
Netflix shared a promo video for Wednesday Season 2 and in it, the young members of the cast talk about some of the theories that fans are hoping to see addressed in Season 2.
The video features Jenna Ortega (Wednesday Addams), Emma Myers (Enid Sinclair), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), and Hunter Doohan (Tyler Galpin). The theories they address involve Crackstone’s Ring, The Hyde Master, Weems & Lurch, and Wednesday’s Family.
It also revealed that the upcoming season will introduce a new member of the Addams Family, but they don’t share how it is.
When previously offering insight into the next chapter of the story, Ortega said that it’s going to lean into the horror of the story. She explained: “We’ve decided we want to lean into the horror aspect of the show a little bit more. Because it is so lighthearted, and a show like this with vampires and werewolves and superpowers, you don’t want to take yourself too seriously.” Ortega went on to say, “We’re ditching any romantic love interest for Wednesday, which is really great.”
The series tells the twisted coming of age comedy story about “a sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”
The show was created by Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar, along with director Tim Burton. Burton is expected to return for Season 2.
I really enjoyed the first season of this series and I’m looking forward to seeing what Season 2 brings. We’re just going to have to wait awhile.
