The Character Who Continues Rey's Jedi Training in STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER Revealed
Rey (Daisy Ridley) started her Jedi training with Luke Skywalker in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and as we’ve seen in the trailers for The Rise of Skywalker, we know that Rey will continue her training. While it may look like she is going to be training on her own, that’s not the case. She has someone training her, and it was recently revealed who that person is.
If you don’t know, don’t read ahead. This news is 100% confirmed as it came from a press event held for the film.
Leia's costume from the film was on display at the press junket for the film, and it came with a brief description of her role in the film. That description reveals that she is the one who is training Rey to be a Jedi. The description reads:
“General Leia Organa continues to lead the heroic Resistance, building back a fighting force after having suffered costly setbacks. Leia is also training Rey in the ways of the Force, for the galaxy still has need of a Jedi."

That’s pretty cool and something that I wasn’t expecting for some reason because we never really knew any details on Leia and her experience with the Force. It’s obviously pretty extensive if she is training Rey. When previously talking about Leia in the film, J.J. Abrams said:
“There are scenes where she’s interacting with other characters in a way that is uncanny. Hopefully, if it works, it will be an invisible thing and if you didn’t know, you would never know. But we got to tell the story with Leia that we would have told had Carrie lived. And that’s kind of incredible.”
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be released in theaters on December 20th. What are your thoughts on Leia training Rey in the ways of the Force in The Rise of Skywalker?
