The Classic 1980s Board Game Fireball Island is Getting a Reboot Thanks To Kickstarter

Do you remember the classic 80s board game Fireball Island!? I completely forgot about it until I saw that the game was being rebooted! As soon as I saw the name all those memories came flooding back!

The tagline for the game was "The dimensional adventure game of pitfalls and perils!" It was set on an unexplored tropical island, which was the home of the primitive idol Vul-Kar. Players progress along winding paths around the island, avoiding fireballs and trying to capture Vul-Kar's jewel and carry it to the escape boat. Marbles were used to knock out opposing players.

Restoration Games started a Kickstarter campaign to bring the game back because it has been one of the most requested games from them. It will be a more compact version of the game than the one Milton Bradley produced and it's already blown past its $250,000 goal. It now has over $600,000 backing it, so this is happening!

Fireball Island: The Curse of Vul-Kar improves on the art, components, and game play of the original. If you loved the game as a child, you'll see we turned that "delightful chaos" up to the max. If you never played it before, you'll appreciate it as a fun, exciting game for kids, families, and gamers alike.

Here's a video that offers a rundown of the Fireball Island reboot and it's sure to get you excited! I can't wait to play this with my kids!
