The COBRA KAI Series Timeline is Surprisingly Very Short!

An interesting new detail revealed regarding the Cobra Kai series has surfaced that is sure to surprise a lot of fans. Co-creator Jon Hurwitz recently revealed a minor detail about the Netflix show's upcoming sixth season involving the timeline of the series.

In response to a tweet pointing out that the Karate Kid trilogy all took place within a year, between 1985 and 1986, Hurwitz revealed that all the events of Cobra Kai season 2 to Cobra Kai season 6 all happens within a year. That’s actually pretty wild to think about because so much has happened!

Basically, everything from Miguel being paralyzed, his recovery, the epic fight at the LaRusso house, Terry Silver's return, Kreese being locked up, the All-Valley Tournament, and training for the Sekai Takai tournament all came within a single year! That’s crazy.

Hurwitz said on Twitter: "Similarly, S6 of Cobra Kai begins roughly a year after our S2 finale. Time moves slowly in the Miyagiverse.” It sure does!

The sixth season will bring the series to an end, and will wrap up all of the character story arcs. Hurwitz previously said: "Our day one goal with Cobra Kai has always been to end it on our own terms, leaving the Valley in the time and place we've always imagined. So it is with immense pride and thankfulness that we are able to announce that achievement. The upcoming season six will mark the conclusion of Cobra Kai.”

As you might imagine, this final season will be the biggest one yet! Now, while Cobra Kai is coming to a close, there are possible spinoffs that Netflix is looking at that could expand on the universe.
