The Crazy 5-Minute WALKING DEAD Season 8 Comic-Con Trailer Has Been Released
AMC has released the exciting 5-minute trailer that they screened for fans at San Diego Comic-Con in Hall H today. This is our first look at what happens after Negan and the Saviors were chased out of Alexandria. That last episode of the series was pretty damn intense and fans are all curious to see what's going to happen next. Well, when you watch this video, you'll see that things are going to get crazy insane!
The premiere of Season 8 will also be the series 100th episode. In regards to that, showrunner Scott Gimple said:
"Episode 801, the first episode of Season 8, is going to be the 100th episode. The first episode is, I think less about that we reached 100 episodes. It’s more about setting up the next 100.”
If you watched last season, then you know the pacing of it was annoyingly slow and that was the most frustrating thing about it for me. Gimple went on to talk about the pacing of the upcoming season, saying:
“The turn of the story is really going to dictate the structure of the story and the speed of the story. The things that they are getting into demand a more kinetic narrative. The pace is accelerated by virtue of the things that they’re up to. Though I don’t want to say exactly, anybody who watches the show can extrapolate that they’re now into public conflict with the Saviors; the battle lines are drawn. There isn’t quite as much time to dig into anything but prosecuting the war.”
It's good to hear that the pacing is going to pick up in Season 8. I like what I'm seeing in this first trailer. It does a great job of setting the stage for what's to come and it's complete madness. Check it out!
