The CRAZY RICH ASIANS Sequels Will Be Shot Back-to-Back
Crazy Rich Asians was a wildly popular film when it released earlier this year. It was so successful that a couple of sequels were given the green light and it was nominated for two Golden Globes. In fact, Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson, the heads of the Color Force production label, told Deadline recently that Crazy Rich Asians 2 and Crazy Rich Asians 3 will be shot back-to-back. This guarantees that the high demanded cast will be available for both films.
The current plan, according to the report, is to begin shooting the sequels in 2020 with a script from Peter Chiarelli and Adele Lim. Jacobson also told Deadline, “We’ll make it up to [the fans] on the back end by shooting two films together.”
