The Creative Team Behind SHERLOCK is Now Developing a DRACULA Series
There's a new Dracula series going into development and the great thing about it is, it's being developed by the writers and producers of Sherlock. The new take on Bram Stoker's horror classic will be written by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss.
There's no information on the direction that they will take the Dracula series, but it will be fun and interesting to see if they give it the same kind of modern day setting that Sherlock had. I enjoy Moffat's style and no matter what he and Gatiss do with it, I'm sure they'll give it a unique spin that we haven't seen before. At least that's what I'm hoping for!
One other thing that Variety reveals about the Dracula series is that it will adopt the same format as Sherlock, with a miniseries run of feature-length episodes, which is definitely the way to go. I loved how that format worked for Sherlock.
I'm excited to see how this project comes together and the actors they will be bringing into play the creature of the night and all the supporting characters.
How would you like to see Dracula handled by this writing team, and who would you like to see take on the role of Dracula?
