The Creator of ADVENTURE TIME is Developing an Adult Animated Series For Netflix Called THE MIDNIGHT GOSPEL
Netflix has ordered a new adult animated series titled The Midnight Gospel and it is being developed by the creator of Adventure Time, Pendleton Ward. He is also developing it with comedian and host Duncan Trussell.
The eight-episode series is “set in a fantastical universe” and centers on a character named Clancy, “a spacecaster with a malfunctioning multiverse simulator, who leaves the comfort of his home to interview beings living in dying worlds.”
The series will be using interview clips from Trussell’s podcast, Duncan Trussell Family Hour. The animation will be done by the same animation company behind Big Mouth, Titmouse Animation.
The series will debut on the streaming service in 2020.
