The Creator Of KICK-ASS, Mark Millar, Is Creating A Comic Book For Netflix Called THE MAGIC ORDER
Creator of Kick-Ass, Mark Millar, is making a comic book for Netflix, and we just learned a bit about it. Titled The Magic Order, the series sounds like Harry Potter, but if Harry Potter were the tale before Harry Potter was born. Check out the synopsis:
We live in a world where we’ve never seen a monster and these people are the reason we sleep safely in our beds. Magic meets the mob in The Magic Order, as five families of magicians sworn to protect our world for generations must battle an enemy who’s picking them off one by one. By day they live among us as our neighbors, friends and co-workers, but by night they are the sorcerers, magicians and wizards that protect us from the forces of darkness ... unless the darkness gets them first.
Millar's company Millar World was acquired by Netflix in August and this will be the first title he produces with them in control of the company. As for what Netflix is planning to do with this acquisition, we have no idea. Are we going to be able to read this comic on Netflix? Is Netflix going to develop television shows for these comics?
