The Creator of MAD MAN Made an Anthology Series For Amazon Called THE ROMANOFFS; Watch The Trailer

The creator of AMC hit drama Mad MenMatthew Weiner, has developed a new anthology series for Amazon called The Romanoffs and today we have the first trailer to share with you. I was a big fan of Mad Men and it looks like this new series of his will not disappoint.

The Romanoffs is a contemporary anthology series set around the globe and it tells eight separate stories about people who believe themselves to be descendants of the Russian royal family.

In case you want a little background on what the idea for the series is drawing from, the Ramanoffs, or Romanov family were the second dynasty to rule Russia. The family came to an end when Nicholas II and his family were executed during the Russian Civil War. After they were executed, a lot of imposters came forward claiming to be descendants or survivors of the execution.

It sounds like a strange but interesting premise and it comes with an awesome cast of actors that includes Aaron Eckhart, Diane Lane, Isabelle Huppert, Christina Hendricks, John Slattery, Amanda Peet, Jack Huston, Kathryn Hahn, Noah Wyle, Ron Livingston, Paul Reiser, Andrew Rannells and more.

I'll definitely be checking this series out! Watch the trailer for yourself and tell us what you think.
