It's Doesn't Look Like Freevee's Hit Comedy JURY DUTY Is Going to Get a Season 2

The hit comedy series Jury Duty premiered on Freevee a couple of months ago to the delight of all who viewed it. The show plays out like a typical American jury duty proceding, but the best part of it is that everyone involved is an actor except for just one juror! The series starred James Marsden as himself, and it was created by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky.

It was such a great first season, but unfortunately, it may be the only one we get. In a recent interview with GamesRadar, co-creator Gene Stupnitsky doesn't think another installment is likely.

"Let's say that I think we have to put that to bed," Stupnitsky said while discussing his new movie No Hard Feelings. "We kind of caught lightning in a bottle and I don't know how we could ever top it, so I think we just have to do something else entirely. But as far as Jury Duty as an institution, I don't think we can."

That’s such a bummer! But I do understand that there were a lot of factors going into this show, and season one just happened to go really well. It would be hard to recreate. I wish they’d give it a shot though!

Season 1 of Jury Duty is available to watch on Freevee.
