The Creators of THE LEAGUE OF LEGENDS Series ARCANE Want to Explore the Universe with More Shows

The first three episodes of the League of Legends animated series Arcane dropped on Netflix this weekend, and damn, this show is so freakin’ good! I’m super impressed with it so far and I’m excited to see how the rest of the story plays out.

If you’ve been watching and enjoying the series as well, you’ll be interested in knowing that the creators of the Riot Games series want to explore and expand the universe with more shows! Nothing has been officially announced, but if this Arcane “event series” is a big hit, I’m sure those announcements will come.

While talking to CB, Arcane, co-creators and executive producers Christian Linke and Alex Yee talked about the series and its future. They do acknowledge that right now they are primarily focused on Arcane, but the future of the franchise definitely weighs on their minds. Yee explained:

"I think the company has always wanted to allow players to get to spend time with their champions, not in the throws of combat, and get to understand who they are when they're off the battlefield. And so many people over time have really poured a lot of love and energy into making the world and the characters feel robust and three-dimensional. So I think there is certainly the appetite to explore more of those stories. Like you said, of course, we're primarily focused on Arcane and learning what we can from that right now, but I think everyone would be really happy to be able to share more stories in many different types of media for other champions in other regions."

I loved what’s being done with Arcane, and it would be awesome to see more stories explored in the League of Legends universe. Would you like to see more of the League of Legends universe explored in additional shows?
