The CW and WB Are Bringing the Collins Family Back to TV in Hour-Long Drama Reboot DARK SHADOWS: REINCARNATION
We have a report today that will probably make fans of the original Dark Shadows pretty happy. The CW and Warner Bros. have lined up a sequel series for the cult classic horror drama/soap opera, and it will be called Dark Shadows: Reincarnation.
Deadline reports that the new series will be a “modern-day continuation of the strange, terrifying, and sexy saga of the Collins family of Collinsport, Maine — a mysterious, influential, publicity-shy group hiding a ghastly secret: For the past 400 years, they’ve lived under a curse that bedevils their blue blood with every imaginable supernatural creature and horror.”
The series is being written by Mark B. Perry, who was a writer on my favorite series of all time, The Wonder Years, as well as Party of Five and Ghost Whisperer. Perry was a huge fan of the original series as a kid, and has always dreamed of remaking this series.
I am too young to have watched the show in its original run, but I know it has a huge following. Are you excited about Dark Shadows returning to the small screen?
