The CW Announces The Fall Dates For Their DC Superhero Crossover Episodes

The CW announced the premiere date of the upcoming DC superhero crossover episodes. Those episodes will see Supergirl, The Flash, Green Arrow and the Legends of Tomorrow teaming-up once again to save the world.

The first two installments are set to air on Monday, November 27th when Supergirl teams up with Arrow. Then on November 28th, we'll see The Flash join forces with DC’s Legends of Tomorrow for the wrap-up episodes.

When talking about the crossover episodes, CW president Mark Pedowitz said:

“Last year’s (crossover) was the most successful week in CW history in terms of ratings and everything. We felt in this particular case we had Flash on Legends paired, so it was better to make it two two-hour movies – a miniseries – we thought this was the best way to go. We had a lot of conversations with producers and marketing people. Next year, we might go back to four nights.”

It's also been announced that Jes Macallan (Mistresses) has joined the third season of Legends of Tomorrow. She will take on the recurring role of Special Agent Ava Sharpe, who is a new character created for the show. Here's a description of her character:

A hard working agent for a secret branch of the Federal Government (the Time Bureau) dedicated to the regulation of time-travel and the protection of history. She is very smart and incredibly ambitious and always believes she is the smartest person in the room. She is often quite ruthless in obtaining her goals and her drive for perfection has left many discarded friendships (and relationships) in her wake.

When talking about these DC series separately, Pedowitz said that “Supergirl really found its groove,” which I can agree with. I really dig that show. When talking about The Flash he said, "It’s about finding the lightness in Barry Allen that he had in the first two seasons." I'm really happy to hear that because The Flash started slipping for me. Bringing back that flavor from the first couple seasons is what it needs. As far as Legends of Tomorrow goes, he says, "they had a rough first season, but they had the most fun second season anyone could have.”

It'll be fun to see all these characters crossover again, so that gives us something to look forward to seeing!
