The CW Has Officially Ordered a BATWOMAN Pilot Episode

Batwoman was introduced in DC’s Arrowverse in the recent “Elseworlds” crossover event. The character was played by Ruby Rose, and I thought she was great in the role of Kate Kane!

If her debut was a hit with fans, the studio planned on moving forward with a solo series that was being developed by producer Greg Berlanti and writer Caroline Dries (Smallville). Well, The CW has officially ordered the pilot episode for Batwoman, which will be directed by David Nutter (Game of Thrones, Arrow, The Flash).

Here’s the synopsis that was previously released:

In the series, Kate Kane, armed with a passion for social justice and a flair for speaking her mind, soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.

There’s some good talent jumping on board this Batwoman series, and I hope that it turns out to be another great DC series. Are you happy to hear that The CW is moving forward with this series?
