The CW Renews SUPERNATURAL, ARROW, THE FLASH, SUPERGIRL, RIVERDALE and More

The CW just renewed a ton of its primetime shows that the fans will be happy about. They were announced recently by network president Mark Pedowitz at the Television Critics Association Press Tour and it includes all of their DC shows.

First of all, though, Supernatural has been renewed for its fifteenth season! That’s pretty incredible. But, the show has a dedicated fan base and as long as they keep tuning in to watch, then why would The CW want to cancel it?

Then there’s Arrow returning for Season 8,Supergirl and DC's Legends of Tomorrow are coming back for their fifth seasons, The Flash will return for Season 6, and Black Lightning will come back for a third season.

As far as the other shows go, Charmed and Legacies will get second seasons, Dynasty will get a Season 3, and, of course, Riverdale will be back for Season 4.

When talking about the renewal of these shows, Pedowitz said:

“This season, we expanded our primetime schedule to six nights with the addition of Sunday -- which has been an unqualified success for the network, our affiliates and our advertisers. In addition to growing our schedule across the week, we also continue to add more year-round programming. The early renewal of these signature CW series gives us a head start on laying out the 2019-2020 season, and this is just the beginning. These shows provide a strong foundation for our multiplatform programming strategy, and we look forward to building on this with even more returning and new shows as we approach the May upfront.”

Are you happy to see that these shows have all been renewed? Are there any shows on the list that you want to see get cancelled?
