The CW's CHARMED Reboot Starts Casting

Sarah Jeffery is known for her role in Shades of Blue, but now she’s been added as one of the sisters in The CW’s reboot of Charmed. Jeffery will be the youngest sister, Madison. She’s joining Melonie Diaz who will play Mel, and Ser’Darius Blain will be the boyfriend of Macy, the third sister. The reboot is based on a story by Jennie Urman and will be set in the present day. We had heard about the reboot potentially being a prequel set in the 1970’s, but TV Line reports that this was changed. Urman will be an executive producer along with Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin. Rardin will also work on the script and Brad Silberling will direct.

Here's what we can expect from the reboot:

“Penned by Jessica O’Toole and Amy Rardin and created with Urman, the Charmed reboot centers on three sisters in a college town who discover they are witches. Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy and maintaining familial bonds, a witch’s work is never done.”
