The Dark Knight Gets Silly in THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE Teaser Trailer
Warner Bros. has released the first teaser trailer for The LEGO Batman Movie, and if you liked what they did with the character in The LEGO Movie, you're gonna want to see this. This spinoff film looks like it's gonna be funny as hell! Will Arnett is perfect as the grizzled, comedic voice of the Caped Crusader.
This is the first solo Batman movie to come out since Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, It's obviously a very different kind of Batman film. but it's a parody that I think fans of the character will lovingly embrace.
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
The movie was directed by Chris Mckay (Robot Chicken) and also stars Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth, Michael Cera as Robin, Zach Galifianakis as The Joker, and Mariah Carey as Mayor Marion Grange. It hits theaters on February 10th, 2017, so we've still got a ways to go.
