The Daughters of Bill and Ted Have Been Cast in BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC
Keanu Reeves’ Ted Logan and Alex Winter’s Bill S. Preston Esq. will have daughters in the upcoming highly anticipated film Bill & Ted Face The Music. According to THR, those daughters will be played by Brigette Lundy-Paine (Atypical) and Samara Weaving (SMILF, The Babysitter).
It’s kinda weird to think that The Wyld Stallyns are all grown up, and have kids of their own! Lundy-Paine is set to play Thea Preston, the daughter of Bill S. Preston Esq. and Weaving, will take on the role of Billie Logan, the daughter of Ted "Theodore" Logan.
When talking about the casting, producer Scott Kroopf had this to say in a statement:
“When we saw Samara and Brigette together, it was like deja vu. It was exactly the way we felt when we first saw Keanu and Alex. We are so thrilled to have this funny and unique pair join the Bill and Ted team!”
That’s awesome to hear and I’m sure that they’re going to be great! When previously talking about the film, Reeves revealed that it would introduce Bill and Ted's children, saying, “I'm sure they can't help but have a bit of their mothers and fathers in them. So we'll see how that expresses itself.”
Here’s the synopsis that was released for the movie:
Following 1989’s Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and 1991’s Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, the stakes are higher than ever for William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. (Winter) and Theodore “Ted” Logan (Reeves). Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle-aged best friends set out on a new adventure, when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it and bring harmony to the universe. Along the way, they will be helped by their families, old friends and a few music legends.
Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest, Fun With Dick and Jane) will direct the film from a script written by the original Bill & Ted writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon.
The movie is set to be released on August 21st, 2020.
