THE DEMONPLAGUE is a New Adventure for Veteran Players or Pieces to Fit in Current D&D Campaigns
One of the things that turns people off of being a Dungeon Master for Dungeons & Dragons is that they don’t have a world or adventure in their head yet. That’s when I point them to the plethora of pre-made adventures out there such as the Lost Mine of Phandelver. Most of these adventures help cover between 5-10 levels of adventuring for your party and include everything you need except people to play with.
Well, one adventure that players may want to consider is the unofficial The Demonplague. This four-part adventure was written by Johnn Four and James Introcaso and is set to take characters from level 1 all the way to level 20. That’s a lot. However, The Demonplague is also written so that you can make minor tweaks to incorporate it into the world your players are already in if your group has already started.
While looking over the first part of the campaign, “The Frozen Necromancer,” I will say that this looks more geared towards veteran players as there are minimal guidelines for the story. If you’re a first-time player, I would probably recommend something else, but if you’re a veteran player, this looks like a decent campaign for that new character you’ve been dying to try out.
You can get The Demonplague over on DriveThru RPG with a PDF copy starting at $39, or you can order a physical copy as well. With your purchase, you’ll get all four parts of the story, maps, information and art for 27 NPCs, the System Reference Document which is like a watered-down Player’s Handbook, side quests, and more.
