Disney is developing a sequel to the hit 2006 romantic comedy fashion movie, The Devil Wears Prada, starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, with screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna in talks to return to write the next chapter.

The film starred Hathaway as an unlikely assistant to the intimidating editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine, played by Streep.

The film had comedy and drama, romance, and of course, fashion. It saw Hathaway’s character Andy evolve into the kind of person who could make it in the high-powered fashion world, but who wasn’t sure she wanted to.

This movie is a fan favorite, so an audience is built in. The sequel is very early in development, and no casting news has been confirmed, but stay tuned and we will let you know details as it moves forward.
