The Director Of TAKEN Is Developing A Female JOHN WICK-Style Action Film

Pierre Morel, the director of Taken, is set to direct a female action film. THR reports the script for the film is being written by Chad St. John, who also wrote the action film London Has Fallen. The film, titled Peppermint, is about a young mother who seeks revenge on the people who took her life from her.

No word on who is set to play the lead, but the film is being pitched as a "female John Wick" which sounds like something everyone would get behind. It seems like we are going to be getting a lot of female action films in the near future. Whether or not it lives up to that title remains to be seen.
