The Disney and Fox Deal is Reportedly Close to Closing! An Announcement May Come Next Week!

It looks like that Disney and 21st Century Fox deal is extremely close to actually being a done deal! Last week we learned that Disney and Fox were back in talks after things cooled down for a few weeks, but according to a new report from CNBC, things are on fire now!

They are saying that Disney is close to finalizing the purchase of most of Fox's assets, including the 20th Century Fox movie studio, and an official announcement could come as soon as next week. The estimated value of the deal is $60 billion!

The most exciting thing about this the fact that Marvel is going to get back the rights to the X-Men characters and Fantastic Four, which means we are going to get to see Marvel Studios bring these characters into the MCU! This is something we've all been excited about. I'm especially excited about seeing Marvel getting to develop a Fantastic Four film! 

Apparently, regaining the film rights of these Marvel characters is one of the driving forces behind Disney wanting to buy Fox. Hopefully once Disney owns Fox they won't mess with Deadpool and the films that will involve him and those X-Force characters. I hope that those retain the freedom to be R-rated movies if they need to be.
