The Doctor Is in a Big Serious Crisis in New Trailer for DOCTOR WHO Season 12
Are you ready for Doctor Who Season 12!? Well, BBC America has released a new trailer for it to get you ready! The trailer features more footage of Jodie Whittaker back in action as the Thirteenth Doctor, and she finds herself in a big serious crisis!
Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole, and Mandip Gill are also returning to the series as companions Graham O'Brien, Ryan Sinclair, and Yasmin Khan. Doctor Who recently wrapped production on Season 12, and showrunner Chris Chibnall said in a statement:
“We’re off again! Well we never actually stopped - as Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor and friends have been winning the hearts of families across the nation this autumn, we’ve been busy with a whole new set of action packed adventures for the Thirteenth Doctor. We adore making this show and have been blown away by the response from audiences, so we can’t wait to bring more scares, more monsters and more Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill and Tosin Cole to BBC One. Brilliant!”
The two-part season premiere is titled “Spyfall,” and the first part premieres on BBC America at 8pm on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2020. Deadline goes on to report that BBC America has teamed up with BBC Studios and Fathom Events to simulcast both parts of the premiere in 600 theaters across the U.S. on January 5, 2020. After travelling through time and space, the TARDIS is returning to movie theaters nationwide for a special one-day-only appearance. On January 5, Whovians across the nation can gather at their local cinema to see the Doctor Who Season 12 premiere episode, followed by an exclusive early unveiling of the new season’s second episode.
After the feature content, for the first time ever, audiences will be treated to a live Q&A with Thirteenth and current Doctor Jodie Whittaker and companions Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill. This exclusive fan experience will be transmitted live from The Paley Center in New York to big screens across the country.
